Today I did 4000 yd.: 800 wu, 1 x 800, 2 x 400, 4 x 200, 8 x 100. Trying to fight burnout. Going ok, feel good in the water. Will do short swim Fri. then long one (5600) Sat.
I started this blog in Jan. 2006 as a training journal for the 3.5 mi Beach to Beach Power swim on St John, US Virgin Islands. This yearly race benefits the Friends of the VI National Park. I then did the race again on May 29, 2011, the intermediate route this time, 2 1/4 mi. I lived there with my family in the 1970's so each visit is a homecoming of sorts.
